TNUSRB (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board) conducts a state-level entrance exam for filling in the vacancies for the post of Sub-Inspector in Taluk, Armed Reserved and Tamil Nadu Special Police in the state of Tamil Nadu. TNSURB (Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board) has announced 444 vacancies for Sub-Inspectors of Police (Taluk) and Sub-Inspectors of Police (AR) on the official website.
Tamil Nadu Uniformed Services Recruitment Board (TNUSRB) conducts a state-level recruitment exam every year for the post of sub-inspector. The exam is conducted to recruit eligible fresh candidates for the Tamil Nadu Police force.
TNUSRB SI Exam is applicable only for the Tamil Nadu Residency candidates. The TNUSRB SI exam is conducted offline and has a duration of 3 hours.

There are two parts of the Written Exam- Part A and Part B. The TNUSRB Exam pattern is different for Open Category Candidates and Departmental Quota Candidates. The Exam pattern for both categories is elaborated in detail below.
TNUSRB has allotted 70 marks in total for Part A and Part B of the TNUSRB SI exam for the open-category candidates. The candidates will be given 2 hours 30 minutes to complete the exam.
For the departmental quota candidates, TNUSRB has allotted a total of 85 marks (total of both Part A and Part B) for the paper. The candidates will be given a maximum of three hours to complete both sections. The candidates must score a minimum of 30 marks to qualify for this round.

The TNUSRB SI Written Test 2023 will have two parts, Part A and Part B. Moreover, Part A will consist of 30 questions and Part B will have 140 questions. It is the first step towards your selection for TNUSRB Sub Inspector Post, You must qualify well it the required marks to reach the next Stage.
In this stage, the candidates have to pass the various physical body tests. The candidates have to clear the PMT/ PET/ ET tests to qualify for the further round, i.e, the interview round.
This test is to be given by only open quota applicants. All of the applicants who are participating in the TNUSRB SI Exam 2023 by departmental quota are exempted from the physical fitness tests. But departmental quota applicants have to give endurance tests.
After clearing the Physical Measurement Test, the candidates have to pass the Physical Efficiency Test. The details of PET are given below.

After qualifying for the PET test, candidates have to pass the Endurance Test (ET). The details of the Endurance Test (ET) are given below.
Candidates who will qualify for the previous tests and round will be applicable to give TNUSRB SI interview round. The interview round will test the candidate’s communication skills. Moreover, the interview round will consist of 10 marks for Open candidates as well as departmental candidates.
