TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2023: is discussed here. Every year the Tamil Nadu Public Service Commission (TNPSC) conducts the Combined Civil Services Examination Group II (CCSE-II) to recruit candidates for various Civil Services in Tamil Nadu. TNPSC conducts CCSE-II exams for Group 2 and 2A posts. Before start preparing for the exam, it is advisable to go through the exam pattern and syllabus of the TNPSC Group 2 exam. The commission releases the vacancies under two-division, Group 2 and Group 2A. Group 2 and Group 2A have only one exam difference i.e., interview. Group 2 include vacancies having interview while Group 2A have vacancies without an interview. TNPSC Group 2 Exam Pattern 2023

The TNPSC Group 2 Exam consists of 3 phases: Prelims, Mains, and Interview. The services are divided into Group 2 and Group 2A. The interview round is conducted for only Group 2vacancies. For Group 2A vacancies there is no interview.

TNPSC Group 2 Prelims Exam Pattern 2023

Before going to the syllabus, check the prelims and mains detailed exam patterns. The Prelims exam is just to screen out the non-serious candidates from the selection process. The prelims exam is only qualifying in nature and candidates have to score minimum 90 marks to qualify. Here we have provided the main highlight of the TNPSC Group 2 Prelims exam.

Questions from General Tamil/General English, Aptitude and Mental Ability Test will be of S.S.L.C. Standard level.

Questions from General Studies will be of Degree Standard level.

TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam Pattern

Candidates who qualify for the prelims exam are going to appear for the mains exam. The mains exam is divided into two parts i.e., Paper I and Paper II. The sheet of paper II of those candidates who score minimum qualifying marks in paper I will be evaluated.

Any Degree - The educational qualification needed for the TNPSC Group 2 exam is a graduate degree from: A university incorporated by a Central or State Act or. An educational institution established by an Act of Parliament or. A deemed University under Section 3, UGC Act 1956.

TNPSC Group 2 Syllabus 2023 for Mains Exam

The TNPSC Group 2 Mains Exam will be written in nature. It comprises of two papers: Paper I and Paper II.

  1. Paper I has 2 questions from Tamil to English Translation and English to Tamil Translation.
  2. Paper II has 10 questions from Precis Writing, Comprehension, Hints Development and Essay Writing on ‘Thirukkural’ and Letter writing.
